Red Raspberry Leaf

Updated: 2 days ago

When you think of the raspberry plant, the first thing that comes to mind is probably the juicy red fruit. Although the berries are quite delicious and packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber ... I want to shine a spotlight on the leaves; which provide beneficial minerals and offer support to the womb.

Raspberry leaf has been traditionally called a "womans herb" because of its affinity for the uterus. This gentle tonic has been used for centuries to help women prepare for pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season. Many midwives suggest this plant for expectant mothers because it can be helpful at different stages during pregnancy. It's usually considered safe to take in the early weeks for morning sickness, consumed in the last trimester for a smoother deliver, and taken post delivery to shrink the uterus back down to normal size & aid with milk production.

This herb isn't just a friend to women wanting children however - it can also be a comforting ally to those that suffer from heavy menstrual flow that's accompanied by clotting and cramping. Some studies show that Red Raspberry may also be useful when it comes to lowering blood sugar levels, soothing mouth sores, & relieving digestive discomforts.

ANY woman can certainly benefit from this nutritive, multi-use herb!
